It became known when chicken and eggs will become cheaper
Analyst of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business, Maxim Hopka, noted that prices for meat, particularly chicken, in Ukraine will remain stable, at least until the end of summer. This is due to constant demand and high costs for chicken feed.
Ukrainians this year felt the rapid rise in prices for chicken, which is now approaching the cost of more expensive types of meat. Eggs, which became more expensive last year, have not returned to their previous prices.
Price comparisons in leading supermarkets in Ukraine showed significant differences. Chicken fillet costs from 204 hryvnias per kilogram at Novus to 239 hryvnias at Megamarket. A dozen of first grade eggs can be purchased at a price ranging from 56 hryvnias at Varus to 78 hryvnias at Megamarket and Silpo.
Ukrainians are witnessing an increase in prices for chicken and eggs, which are already nearing the prices of other types of meat. Market analysts predict that this situation may continue for some time due to stable demand and high costs of raising poultry. Currently, prices for products vary from chain to chain, but the overall trend indicates an increase in meat prices in the country.
