Ukrainian tennis player Yuliya Starodubtseva impressed in the first round of the WTA 500 tournament in Ningbo, where she defeated Yulia Putintseva from Kazakhstan. Prior to this, she successfully passed two qualifying rounds, beating Australian Priscilla Hon and German Tamara Korpatsch.
In the match against Putintseva, who is ranked 69th in the world, Starodubtseva won the first set 6:4 and the second set 6:2, securing the victory. The next opponent for the Ukrainian will be Swiss Belinda Bencic, the 14th ranked player in the world, who has already impressed Polish player Magda Linette.
