The court confiscated the assets of former Interior Minister Zaharchenko: what was taken
According to glavcom.ua: The High Anti-Corruption Court decided to seize the assets from former Interior Minister Vitaliy Zaharchenko, who served during Yanukovych's time. The decision was made after a lawsuit from the Ministry of Justice and concerns six real estate objects, including apartments in Kyiv and money in Ukrainian bank accounts.
Zaharchenko has worked in various positions in Ukrainian authorities, notably leading the Ministry of Internal Affairs during Yanukovych's presidency. After fleeing to Russia, he supports the Kremlin's aggression against Ukraine. He is currently in Moscow with his family.
In the past, Zaharchenko's property has been arrested, and he has received sanctions from the National Security and Defense Council as well as suspicion of state treason. His activities have attracted the attention of Ukrainian courts and law enforcement agencies.
