Trial Underway Over Attacks on Prime Minister’s Assets

According to Главком: A London court is currently hearing a case involving a series of arson attacks on property belonging to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The three defendants-22-year-old Roman Lavrynovych, Petro Pochynok, and Stanislav Karpiuk-are accused of carrying out the fires on the orders of an individual using the alias El Money, who communicated in Russian. Investigators allege the group received both instructions and payment from this anonymous figure to orchestrate the attacks.

Timeline of the Arson Incidents

The string of fires took place in May 2025. Specifically:

  • On May 8, a Toyota that had previously belonged to Starmer was set alight.
  • On May 11, a fire broke out near the entrance of a residence in Islington where the Prime Minister had previously lived.
  • The following night, May 12, a house in the Kentish Town area-also linked to Starmer-was deliberately set on fire.

Police have uncovered Telegram messages exchanged between Lavrynovych and El Money, which they say confirm the collaborative nature of the plot.

Stanislav Karpiuk is said to have been responsible for planning and receiving funds from El Money. All three defendants have pleaded not guilty. The case is being handled by the counter-terrorism police unit, as the suspects face charges of arson and conspiracy to endanger life. The accused are Ukrainian nationals, and their case has drawn significant public attention.
