The loss of a husband in the war: how a State Migration Service employee helps other Ukrainians
Larysa lost her closest people in the war - her husband, a friend, and the father of two sons. However, she decided not to break down after this loss.
The woman stated: ‘I have to live on. Not for myself, but for our boys. For him. For the memory of a husband who gave his life so that we could have peace’.
After the death of her husband in battles in Donetsk region in 2024, she continues to give her love to her family and those around her, helping and supporting them with faith and hope for a peaceful future for Ukraine.
Larysa has been working in the Migration Service of the Volyn region for four years. Every day she helps with lost documents of servicemen, Volyn residents who returned from captivity, as well as those undergoing rehabilitation.
Despite her pain, Larysa continues to care for and support those in need. For her, her two sons are the light, support, and strength that help her stay strong and keep living with love in her heart.
In the greatest pain, one can find strength if there is love and memory nearby. #SMS #StateMigrationService #Volyn #FacesofSMS
