According to hvylya.net: The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development is expanding cooperation with the World Bank to restore heating systems and provide energy sources to cities that have been affected by Russian terrorist attacks. In particular, the activities cover Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Kryvyi Rih, Kremenchuk, and Slavuta.

This became possible thanks to the agreements reached with the World Bank under the URC 2025. A grant of 116 million USD is directed towards restoring energy supply in winter and supplying energy resources.

Financing and allocation of funds

The specified amount will be spent on the purchase of gas cogeneration units, special equipment, and materials for the heating sector.

'The acquired equipment will improve the efficiency of heating supply and reduce its vulnerability. The actions being taken aim to strengthen the energy resilience of communities,' explained the Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Konstantin Kovalchuk.

A message has been presented about the expanded cooperation between the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development and the World Bank on the issues of restoring and improving heating systems in cities affected by terrorist attacks. Financing in the amount of 116 million USD is directed towards the purchase of necessary equipment to increase the resilience of heating supply and provide communities with energy.
