Sziget Festival’s 2026 Edition Announces the Return of Day Zero and a Brand-New Jardin des Arts Arts District

According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Taking place from August 11 to 15 on Budapest’s Obuda Island, the 2026 Sziget Festival will kick off a day early with its celebrated Day Zero on August 10. Organizers have revealed a new arts hub called Jardin des Arts, alongside the reintroduction of Day Zero. They also launched the Sziget SZociety social fund, and the lineup already features over 20 performers. The festival, a European staple for more than three decades, draws tens of thousands of international visitors each year.
Inside the Jardin des Arts quarter, attendees can explore contemporary circus, dance, audiovisual art, and immersive performances. Featured acts include Collective XY, Club Guy & Roni, Australasian Dance Collective, HIIIT, and Boriš Aket. The Hungarian troupe Recirquel will stage “Liberty, Love, Rave.” The MOBILIS space offers morning movement workshops and dance shows, while the dome-shaped Le DÔME transforms from a daytime theater into a late-night venue with video projections and electronic music.
Program Highlights and New Features
The Magic Mirror area-mixing drag, circus, music, and activism-will debut its flagship Hungarian production, “Ballroom Magic,” and host Amsterdam’s House of Circus. The Cirque du Sziget program includes workshops and interactive formats. Hip-hop and rap culture take over the dropYard quarter, while electronic music fills the Delta District with stages like Yettel Colosseum, BOLT Night Stage, and Arzenál x Turbina Der Klub. The Budapest Park Stage by Johnnie Walker will spotlight Hungarian artists.
Day Zero on August 10 features special ticket pricing and headliners Faithless, Morcheeba, and Goran Bregović with his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra. The newly established Sziget SZociety fund aims to support youth and mental health initiatives, and the festival will present its first-ever SZuper SZociety Awards. Under the Budget-Friendly initiative, all food stalls offer affordable meals, and drinks before 6:00 PM are sold at last year’s rates-beer remains at 2024 prices.
The 2026 lineup includes headliners such as Bring Me The Horizon, Florence + The Machine, Twenty One Pilots, Lewis Capaldi, Zara Larsson, Skrillex, Skepta, Jorja Smith, Biffy Clyro, Wolf Alice, Parcels, Chet Faker, Loyle Carner, Peggy Gou, Richie Hawtin, Dom Dolla, Sara Landry, Underworld, and Boys Noize.
For travel convenience, a direct Kyiv–Budapest train runs daily; alternatively, visitors can travel via Chop or Uzhhorod and transfer to Hungarian transport.
