Tariffs from September 1, 2026: how much Ukrainians will pay for gas, electricity, and water

From September 1, 2026, nationwide tariffs for gas and electricity for households will remain unchanged. At the same time, the cost of water supply will depend on the city, and in some localities, it has already increased. This is reported by the Judicial and Legal Newspaper.

For most household consumers, the price of gas will be 7.96 UAH per cubic meter, and electricity will cost 4.32 UAH per kWh.

Gas and electricity tariffs will remain unchanged from September 1, 2026

Customers of Naftogaz who use an annual tariff plan will continue to pay 7.96 UAH per cubic meter for gas. Annual offers from other suppliers range from 7.96 to 9.99 UAH.

The electricity tariff for household consumers in September will be 4.32 UAH per kWh. For owners of two-zone meters, the price at night, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, is half the price - 2.16 UAH per kWh.

Therefore, using a boiler, washing machine, and other energy-consuming appliances at night helps reduce electricity costs.

Water tariffs in September 2026: where the cubic meter costs over 80 UAH

There is no single tariff for cold water and wastewater in Ukraine. The cost depends on the locality, so before payment, it is worth checking the current tariffs of the local water supply company.

In several cities, new rates have been in effect since August 1. The total cost of water supply and wastewater is:

• Poltava - 83.71 UAH per cubic meter;
• Zhytomyr - 82.23 UAH;
• Chernihiv - 77.71 UAH;
• Lviv - 56.38 UAH.

In Odesa, new tariffs came into effect on August 15. Water along with wastewater costs 65.54 UAH per cubic meter.

Significant increases in the water tariff are being considered for Kropyvnytskyi and other localities served by the Dnipro-Kirovohrad enterprise. The overall tariff is proposed to be increased from 45.97 to 109.14 UAH per cubic meter. This discussion concerns a possible increase and not an already approved new price.
