According to glavcom.ua: Russian residents are preparing for an increase in utility tariffs. According to government forecasts, the price of utilities may rise by almost a third over the next three years due to the need for network modernization. The funds for this need to be taken from the population, as the budget is directed towards war, reports the 'Glavkom' portal.

From 2026 to 2028, utility tariffs in Russia are scheduled to rise by 27.9%. The increase will be different in different years: in 2026 - 9.9%, in 2027 - 8.7%, and in 2028 - 7.1%.

According to official government data, utility tariffs in Russia will increase by 27.9% over three years. In 2026, the increase will be 9.9%, in 2027 - 8.7%, and in 2028 - 7.1%.

The increase will affect gas, electricity, heat, water, and sewage. For example, gas prices will rise by 9.6%, 9.1%, and 7%, electricity will become more expensive by 11.3%, 8.6%, and 9.1%, and heat will rise by 9.9%, 9.3%, and 6.8% respectively in 2026, 2027, and 2028.

The Russian government forecasts an increase in utility tariffs by almost a third over three years to finance the modernization of outdated networks while shifting budget attention to the war.
