According to Главком: The Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre honored the memory of scientists Olesia Sokur and Ihor Zymu, who died as a result of the Russian attack a year ago. This tragedy occurred on January 1, 2025, when the couple was killed by debris from a drone that struck their home in the Pechersk district of Kyiv.

Olesia Sokur and Ihor Zymu were regular patrons of the Franko Theatre. On the day of their death, they planned to attend the performance 'Natalka Poltavka.' This loss deeply affected not only their close friends and family but also the entire theatrical community.
