According to hvylya.net: Brussels is actively considering options for providing assistance to Ukraine in light of the escalating situation in the east of the country. The European Commission is exploring opportunities for military and financial support, including the use of blocked Russian assets held in the EU.

Ahead of the summit in Rome on financing Ukraine, Brussels is seeking ways to prevent the budget deficit. One option is to direct military assistance in the form of off-budget transfers, which are seen as part of defense spending.

“Instead of duplicating capabilities, European allies could jointly fund Ukrainian forces, viewing this as a service that Ukraine provides to strengthen the continent's security,” the document circulated among G7 allies states.

If the conflict with Russia does not cease, Ukraine faces a significant budget deficit next year. Therefore, it is crucial to find ways to cover this need, taking into account the country's risks and requirements.

Ukraine, facing an adverse situation in the east of the country, receives support from Brussels, which is looking into possible ways to cover the budget deficit. Options for providing military and financial assistance are actively discussed, including the use of existing resources and assets blocked in the EU.
