Trump has a buyer for TikTok

According to glavcom.ua: U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he has already found a buyer for the popular platform TikTok, which is currently owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. Bloomberg reported the news. Trump refrained from disclosing the buyer's name, only indicating that it is a very wealthy group of people, and suggested that approval from China will be required for the deal. He also expressed confidence that Chinese President Xi Jinping will approve the deal.

The deadline for the sale of TikTok from ByteDance is set for September 17. According to the plan, American operations of TikTok are to be transferred to a new company that will be based in the USA and primarily owned and controlled by American investors.

During the search for a buyer for TikTok, Trump emphasized the importance of protecting the data of American users and national security due to possible threats from the Chinese company ByteDance. The sale of TikTok could have a significant impact on economic and political relations between the USA and China.
