Requalification Trend: Which Professions Are Chosen by Educational Vouchers
More than 12.6 thousand Ukrainians have received educational vouchers from the State Employment Service
According to hvylya.net: In the first 6 months of 2025, more than 12.6 thousand Ukrainians have already received educational vouchers from the State Employment Service. This social support program concerns seven categories of citizens, including Ukrainians aged 45 and over, veterans, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons, other fighters, and those who suffered due to the war in eastern Ukraine.
- Ukrainians aged 45 and over;
- veterans (demobilized), provided they apply no later than three years from the date of demobilization;
- people with disabilities;
- internally displaced persons;
- those released from military service;
- persons for whom the fact of deprivation of personal freedom as a result of military aggression against Ukraine has been established;
- persons who have received injuries, concussions, disabilities, or diseases as a result of military aggression in Ukraine.
Skills Development and Retraining with the Voucher
By receiving this voucher, people have the opportunity to undergo free skills development or retraining in one of 155 available professions and specialties at many educational institutions in Ukraine. In the first half of the current year, more than 12.6 thousand people took advantage of this opportunity, retraining in various fields. Among them, more than 9.6 thousand are individuals who have already crossed the 45-year mark, as well as representatives of other categories needing additional support.
Educational vouchers are an important opportunity for citizens of Ukraine to acquire new knowledge and retrain to enhance their competitiveness in the labor market. This program promotes the social and labor integration of various segments of the population and supports individuals who have found themselves in difficult life circumstances due to the war or other negative events.
