Turkey has marked a historic event – the beginning of serial production of Altay tanks. The country's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, personally highlighted this moment and handed over the first three tanks to the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF). The festive ceremony took place at the opening of the BMC Ankara plant, which will produce these next-generation tanks.
Erdogan emphasized the importance of this project for Turkey's defense industry and noted that a new era in tank technology has begun with Altay. The tank has great export potential and has already attracted the interest of friendly and allied countries. Thus, Turkey plans to significantly enhance its industrial capability globally.
