In the UK, more than 11,000 bottles of the eye drop Zaditen have been recalled due to possible non-sterility. Production issues, notes the Daily Mail, may have led to the drug becoming contaminated, which in turn could lead to various eye diseases. The British Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency has decided to recall the hazardous batch. Currently, patients who have used these eye drops are not reporting any complications. A historic operation for a successful heart transplant using a robot has taken place in the USA. Such news reflects the constant progress in the medical field and the ongoing improvement of treatment methods for diseases.
