In Kharkiv, the construction of an oncology center is being resumed for 3 billion: when the project will be completed

At the forum 'Investments in Human Capital: A Roadmap for Comprehensive and Participatory Restoration of Kharkiv Region', the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Synegubov announced plans to resume the construction of a modern oncology center, which had been halted due to Russian aggression.'This is a very important project for our region. We need to ensure comprehensive treatment for cancer patients right in Kharkiv Region, so that we do not have to send them for treatment in other regions,' emphasized Synegubov.According to information from 'Prozorro', the restoration of the center will cost 3.162 billion hryvnias and will be funded by Ukraine Facility. After the new building is put into operation, part of the old premises are planned to be dismantled, and a radiation therapy department will be constructed.In 2020, the project underwent significant changes, leading to the termination of the contract with the previous contractor and a new tender, which was won by the company 'Romb+' from Lviv Region. After a year-long break, construction was resumed in 2021 and included in the 'Great Construction' program.In November 2024, the head of OVA Oleg Synegubov announced adjustments to the project considering safety requirements during martial law, for which 43.22 million hryvnias were allocated.In Kharkiv, it is planned to resume the construction of the oncology center to provide the population of Kharkiv Region with access to comprehensive treatment for cancer diseases without the need to travel to other regions. The project has already received funding and has been included in the government program 'Great Construction', which will allow for the creation of a modern center with high-tech equipment for the treatment of cancer diseases in Kharkiv.
