Massive power outage in Kharkiv: what is known about the reasons and the situation in the city

According to glavcom.ua: In Kharkiv, on the evening of November 8, the lights went out in almost all districts of the city. Darkness covered the streets due to very low voltage in the electrical network, local media report.

Residents of the districts of Kharkiv observe strong flickering of lights where they still exist. It is also noted that there is a lack of water supply in some urban areas. Emergency services are currently on standby to resolve the issue.

The local authorities have not yet commented on the situation. Kharkiv residents are asked to call the city emergency number 1562 in case of urgent problems, as the telephone networks may be overloaded.

Aerial strike and power outage

It is reminded that as a result of an enemy aerial strike in the Kharkiv region, eight people were injured. In the evening of November 7, Russian troops conducted an attack, which caused the destruction of a gas station and damage to vehicles, and all the injured were hospitalized.

It is also known that power outages are planned for November 9 in most regions of Ukraine, which are expected to increase both in volume and duration.

In Kharkiv and many other districts of the city, the lights went out due to low voltage in the network, which led to temporary water supply problems.
