Kyiv court sentenced a pedophile to 15 years: prosecutors contest the lenient verdict

According to Прокуратура Київ: In Kyiv, the court issued a verdict in a case of domestic violence and rape. A 38-year-old man from Kirovohrad region received 15 years of imprisonment for corrupting his daughter and raping his stepdaughter for two years.

The crimes were committed in their own home, where the man lived with his wife and two young girls. After the truth was revealed, the children were taken away from their parents and are now under the care of a new family.

“For two years the man committed sexual acts in front of the children and raped his stepdaughter. The prosecution plans to contest the 15-year sentence, considering it too lenient,” - reported the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

The court found the man guilty and took away his freedom for 15 years for the committed crimes. The question of the correctness of this decision remains in doubt, so the prosecution plans to file an appeal.
