June 11 Strikes on Crimea

According to Главком: In the early hours of June 11, explosions rocked occupied Crimea, with significant damage reported in Sevastopol and to two road bridges serving as land gateways to the peninsula. The assault began around midnight and stretched over several hours, with air raid warnings only lifting after 4:00 AM. Local residents reported missile launches from Cape Fiolent at 04:11.

In Sevastopol, the attack hit multiple bays and a military installation, sparking a large fire. Smoke was visible over Omega Bay. Specifically, near Striletska Bay-home to Tor and Pantsir surface-to-air missile systems and the 68th Separate Coastal Defense Ship Brigade of Russia's Black Sea Fleet-two impacts were recorded near Komysheva and Kozacha Bays, along with four to five additional explosions.

Explosions and Aftermath

Regarding the bridges on Crimea's land approaches, in Armiansk, Russian air defense systems targeting drones resulted in a strike on one road bridge, damaging its structure. Debris from the blast damaged nearby homes, a kindergarten, and vehicles. A second strike was recorded on the bridge leading into Krasnoperekopsk from Armiansk.

Notably, on June 7, units from the Center for Multidomain Operations Falanha and the 475th Separate Assault Regiment Code 9.2 carried out an initial attack on the Chongar Bridge. A follow-up strike on June 9 completely disabled it. Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, confirmed the Chongar Bridge has been fully destroyed.

In response to these events, the occupation administration halted gasoline sales to civilians, triggering a fuel crisis across the peninsula. The railway system switched to daytime operations due to the threat of nighttime attacks.

It appears no intact bridges remain on the land routes into Crimea, noted the Krymskiy Veter outlet. These developments highlight escalating tensions in the region and a worsening situation in Crimea, which will undoubtedly impact the territory's logistical capabilities.

Recent strikes on Crimea point to an escalation of the conflict that could severely affect resource supply and support on the peninsula.

The absence of functioning bridges will complicate the movement of military equipment and civilian traffic, potentially worsening conditions for occupation forces. These events also reflect growing military activity in the area, which may have significant implications for security and stability in Ukraine and neighboring countries.

As the situation in Crimea escalates, the recent massive drone attack highlights the increasing volatility in the region. The coordinated strikes not only damaged critical infrastructure but also intensified fears of further military actions, leaving residents on edge and prompting significant changes in local operations.
