In London, thousands of bottles of Ukrainian wine were stolen: which varieties were expected in restaurants
In London, unknown individuals stole about three thousand bottles of Ukrainian wine Chateau Chizay from a truck. The shipment had already passed customs clearance and was heading to restaurants and wine shops in Britain. The brazen robbery occurred in a parking lot after the cargo was cleared. The thieves cut the tent of the truck and took most of the boxes with wine. Only one pallet, located deep in the body, survived. The stolen wines include sparkling Carpathian Sekt, rosé Pinot Noir, and dessert Late Harvest, which has won international awards multiple times. These varieties were exactly what prestigious British restaurants were expecting. Representatives of Chateau Chizay reported that the loss of these wines would hit financially, but they are working on resolving this situation and making repeat orders. Such truck thefts occur often in Britain, so the chances of finding the thieves are slim. The producer 'Chateau Chizay' has been making wine from its own grapes in Transcarpathia since 1995. They grow grapes on 272 hectares in the best Transcarpathian terroirs.
