The Ministry of Energy reported on the pace of energy restoration and risks of new outages
According to hvylya.net: According to Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolesnyk, Ukraine has already restored more than half of the destroyed generating capacities affected by Russian attacks. Repair work is carried out daily and according to schedules.
The most affected were thermal and hydropower facilities, but more than 50% of their capacities have already been restored to operation. This was made possible thanks to the selfless work of energy workers, coordination of actions by the government, and support from international partners
Kolesnyk noted that the Ukrainian energy system remains stable and balanced. However, the risks of power outages exist, and they are associated with possible new shelling by Russia.
Increased gas injection volumes into storage
The Deputy Minister also reported an increase in gas injection volumes into underground storage. The work in this direction is consistent with the plan and exceeds last year's figures. This will allow the formation of necessary gas reserves by the beginning of the heating season.
The government stated that Ukraine will have sufficient reserves of gas, coal, and nuclear fuel to pass through the heating season of 2025-2026 without interruptions. It is also worth noting that the Ukrainian energy sector has begun its final screening session of the energy cluster.
Ukraine is successfully restoring generating capacities after Russian attacks and increasing gas injection volumes into storage to have sufficient reserves for the upcoming heating season. Authorities confirm the stability of the energy system but remain cautious due to possible threats of new shelling.
