Two-Bedroom Apartment for Sale in Kyiv

According to Главком: In the Pechersk district of Kyiv, a two-bedroom apartment spanning 86.2 square meters has been listed for $250,000 on Vasyl Tyutyunnyk Street. Located on the 18th floor of a 25-story building within the "Prestige Hall" residential complex, the property was advertised by realtor Serhiy Feshchenko in a Facebook community group. Notably, there is no seller commission, and the listing has been verified through the Dim.ria portal.

The apartment features a designer renovation executed in a classic style based on an original project. Italian marble covers the floors, while walls are finished with lincrusta. Ceiling cornices and moldings are crafted from natural plaster. All furniture is made from rosewood veneer coated with piano lacquer, and upholstered pieces are dressed in burgundy fabric with heavy gilded accents. The hallway boasts a large stained-glass panel with backlighting, and rooms are illuminated by heavy Italian chandeliers and sconces adorned with crystal and gold leaf. Decorative mandalas with lighting have been installed on the loggia and in the bedroom, while all doors feature stained-glass inserts.

Listing Draws Criticism

However, the sales announcement has sparked criticism online. Users have shared their impressions, including:

  • "You'd need a welding mask to walk through this apartment" – Kostya Cherkasky
  • Andriy Svyshchov compared the interior to "Aladdin's hut."
  • Some commenters, like Olga Akulenko, asked, "Has Pshonka not moved out yet?"
  • Halyna Zuyeva noted, "Maybe there's a sultanic dress code at this address?"
  • Svitlana Shushkovska remarked, "You could get panic attacks in every room there."
  • Tetyana Orlova shared that "just looking at the pictures made my head spin."
  • Dmytro Kanchyk asked, "Is the toilet gold?"
  • On the other hand, Andriy Zahrayuk commented, "If the bed had a mattress, I'd buy it."

Interestingly, a 350-square-meter apartment in the Pechersk Hills Residence complex was previously listed for $3 million, finished with gold leaf. That unit is also available for rent at $12,000 per month.

Sales of premium properties in Kyiv's real estate market continue to generate strong interest from potential buyers while drawing sharp criticism from social media users. High price tags and lavish interiors that don't always align with mainstream tastes fuel discussion, highlighting the diverse preferences among Ukrainians. This trend also underscores the growing supply of luxury housing, suggesting rising demand for high-end living spaces in the capital.

As the debate around extravagant apartment listings continues, it's worth noting that even more affordable options exist in Kyiv's rental market. For instance, a one-bedroom apartment is available for nearly four times the average salary, highlighting the stark contrast in living costs across the city. This disparity raises questions about the accessibility of housing in various districts.
