Instant bank transfers in euros are now available in Poland

In Poland, it is now possible to make instant bank transfers in euros. This new service was launched by PKO Bank Polski, and starting from December 2025, funds in euros are credited to the account immediately after sending, without waiting for several hours or days. This is reported by InPoland.

Companies that work with partners in EU countries, as well as people living abroad or having family in Europe, have long awaited this solution. Instant access to funds allows businesses to settle with counterparties faster, and private clients to make purchases, pay for services, and transfer money to loved ones without delays.

Instant transfers in euros for businesses and private clients

The essence of the service is simple: the recipient sees the money in their account immediately after sending. This is particularly important for international settlements, where previously one had to wait for the completion of banking sessions. The demand for such payments is growing along with the spread of the euro, the development of online services, and the increase in the number of trips abroad.

Instant transfers in euros based on Euro Express Elixir

The new service operates on the basis of the Euro Express Elixir system, which is serviced by Krajowa Izba Rozliczeniowa. The system is available 24/7. Currently, customers can instantly receive transfers in euros, and the possibility of sending them is planned to be introduced next year. PKO Bank Polski notes that fast European payments are set to become the same standard as the previously available instant transfers in zlotys.

It is worth noting that there are over 20 thousand ATMs operating in Poland, however, cash withdrawals do not always go smoothly. Even with sufficient funds in the account, an ATM may reject the transaction due to established limits or technical restrictions.
