In Warsaw, an attacker was detained for hitting a Polish activist defending a Ukrainian woman

An unfortunate incident occurred in Warsaw – a man attacked an activist who defended an elderly Ukrainian woman. The attacker portrayed Ukrainians in a negative light, demanding their departure from Poland, and ultimately physically assaulted the hardworking woman.

“When my friend and I got on bus No. 190, we immediately heard one of the men shouting... about how Ukrainians should get out of Poland and many other disgraceful things,” said the victim Zenobia Zachek.

The woman who became the target of the attack did not remain passive. She tried to stop the attacker and defend her views, but received a punch in the face in response. Only thanks to the man's detention were the police able to come to her aid.

“Some man was just standing between us and the attacker. This is visible in the video – he was holding onto the handrail. If he had just blocked his way, the attack on me might not have happened,” Zachek noted.

The activist emphasized the importance of opposing the hostile atmosphere and remaining defenders of the truth. Unfortunately, similar incidents are not rare, so it is important to be ready to act and speak out to defend others when necessary. The police detained the attacker and launched an investigation to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
