In Warsaw, assailants who brutally beat Ukrainians were detained: details of the incident
According to glavcom.ua: In the Bialolenka district of Warsaw, three young men attacked a group of Ukrainians late in the evening near a store. They not only insulted them because of their nationality but also brutally beat them. The police promptly detained the assailants and informed them of the suspicion. This information was disseminated by the publication Glavkom according to Raport Warszawski.
The situation occurred last Thursday. The attackers aggressively assaulted the Ukrainians near the store, subsequently inflicting physical injuries on them. A woman who was with the victims called the police and filmed the conflict on her phone. One of the injured even required medical assistance.
“The police promptly began actions against the assailants and their detention,” emphasized the representative of the district police department, Paulina Onishko.
A key piece of evidence in the case was video footage recorded by a witness. Investigators identified the perpetrators, and the next day, all three were detained. One of the offenders also had the synthetic drug mephedrone in his possession.
Further Fate of the Case
The suspects were placed in custody under police supervision. They are prohibited from contacting the victims and other defendants. The crime motivated by nationality carries a penalty of imprisonment for up to five years. The police are confident that the motive for the attack was indeed the nationality of the victims.
