The Ukrainian delegation held a series of meetings with representatives of Austrian ministries and leaders of private companies. Among the topics discussed were:

- The necessity of developing a separate strategy for its development;
- Challenges in water management and navigation.
The meeting brought together around 50 representatives from various countries, including European nations, Canada, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Turkey, as well as international financial institutions such as the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The Ukrainian side expressed interest in attracting investors for the development of port infrastructure, particularly through public-private partnerships.
“Austrian business interest in participating in Ukraine's reconstruction is significant. This recovery is not only an act of solidarity but also a long-term investment in Europe's stability and economic development.”
Beate Meinl-Reisinger
This conference underscores the critical role of international cooperation in Ukraine's recovery, as the involvement of foreign investors and financial institutions is vital for realizing the country's ambitious reconstruction plans. The scale of destruction from the ongoing war makes this a generational challenge for Europe. Discussions on strategic issues like port infrastructure development and water management challenges highlight Ukraine's aim not merely to rebuild, but to modernize its key infrastructure projects for the future.
