Fuel Shortage Hits Russian Forces in Kherson After Strike on Feodosia Oil Depot

Нестача пального значно вплинула на здатність російських військ в Херсоні після удару по нафтосховищу в Феодосії.

Fuel Crisis Grips Russian Military Units

According to Главком: Russian troops stationed in the occupied parts of the Kherson region are facing a severe fuel shortage. This crisis follows attacks on Crimea's fuel infrastructure, according to information provided by partisans from the Atesh movement. Supply problems are especially acute near Hola Prystan, where Russian soldiers receive minimal fuel deliveries, leaving some equipment idle.

The strike on the oil depot in Feodosia had the most significant impact on supplies for the Russian group operating in the Kherson direction. Moscow is attempting to offset the deficit with small-scale deliveries. As one soldier put it:

“The equipment is sitting still; we’re not moving anywhere. Commanders have ordered strict rationing-only the bare minimum is issued for movement.”

Impact on Russian Military Logistics

Separately, partisans previously disabled a communications hub in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region, which also disrupted logistics for Russian forces on the Pokrovsk front. Atesh agents conducted reconnaissance of a military airfield near the town of Saky in the village of Novofedorivka, located in occupied Crimea. They documented the current positions of Su-30 fighter jets, aircraft parking areas, shelters, and movement routes. This data highlights the serious challenges Russian troops are facing in the area.

The fuel shortage among Russian forces in Kherson underscores the vulnerability of their logistics network, which could significantly undermine the operational capability of the Russian group. Strikes on key infrastructure targets, such as oil depots, signal an escalation in partisan activity and growing pressure on Russian forces in occupied territories. Continued operations of this kind could further complicate the situation for Russian troops and reduce their effectiveness in combat missions.

As the fuel crisis deepens for Russian forces in Kherson, it mirrors the recent successes of Ukrainian military operations, which have targeted critical assets. Notably, Ukrainian forces have successfully struck multiple Russian targets, including supply depots and advanced defense systems. This escalation not only highlights the ongoing vulnerabilities of Russian logistics but also emphasizes the shifting dynamics on the battlefield.
