One of the victims, a woman, died from her injuries. The missiles were launched on a peaceful Sunday evening when many people were home with their families. 29 adults and seven children died, and another 5 people are missing.

Rescuers continue to search for remains among the ruins, and the police have sent samples for DNA testing to identify the deceased. Information about one of the victims, a former resident of Ternopil aged 76, has already been confirmed. Doctors are fighting for the lives of 45 injured, with seven people in intensive care.
