According to Главком: In the Yarmolynets District Court of Khmelnytskyi Region, a verdict was passed for a man who evaded military service after early conditional release. The court sentenced him to six years in prison.

The accused, a former prisoner, had previously served time in a correctional facility in Kolomyia for theft and violating the inviolability of housing. In June 2025, the man agreed to take a position as a shooter in the assault unit 'Shkval'. However, on July 2, 2025, when a representative of the military unit arrived to take him to his service location in Dnipro, the man fled. This occurred during a stop of the 'Volkswagen Passat' vehicle due to technical failure.

The next day, law enforcement officers arrested him. The court found him guilty of evading service and sentenced him to five and a half years in prison. Since the unserved part of the previous sentence was added to this term, the final verdict amounted to six years of imprisonment.
