IFC will help Ukraine attract billions: which assets will be sold
According to hvylya.net: The Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Oleksiy Sobolev held a meeting with representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is part of the World Bank Group. The main topics of discussion were attracting private capital, public-private partnerships, and Ukraine's investment strategy.
'Ukraine is moving from preparing to implementing large-scale privatization and public-private partnership projects. We expect the launch of the first PPP tenders as early as next year, and we count on the expert support of IFC in preparing complex transactions,' said Sobolev.
The Ukrainian side expressed its plans for privatization, discussed pilot projects in the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, and also a new concession for the terminal in the Chornomorsk port, which can attract 200 million dollars in investments. Attention was also drawn to the development of public-private partnerships and other issues.
The meeting was aimed at creating a favorable environment for attracting investments and developing Ukraine's economy through cooperation with international partners and stakeholders.
