Ukraine and Italy launch agro-investments of $1.4 billion: project details

On November 21, an online workshop took place between Ukraine and Italy aimed at developing cooperation in the agro-industrial sector. The purpose of the event was to attract international companies to support the Ukrainian agricultural sector and expand opportunities for collaboration.

The workshop was an important step in implementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, Gruppo Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), SACE and SIMEST during the URC-2025 conference in Rome.

'Collaboration with Italian partners will open new opportunities for the development of the agricultural sector and strengthening food security in Europe,' emphasized Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

Participants received information about opportunities for business involvement in recovery projects. Ukraine Invest invited Italian partners to get acquainted with the Investment Portal of Ukraine, which features 30 ready-made agro- and logistics projects worth $1.4 billion.

The Federation of Employers of Ukraine (FRU) highlighted the needs of Ukrainian producers and promising sectors for cooperation, noting that it is already working on new investment projects together with leading companies.

After the official part, virtual meetings were held between Ukrainian and Italian companies to discuss the next steps in cooperation.

The organization of the joint workshop of Ukraine and Italy on cooperation in the agro-industrial sector indicates the importance of developing international partnerships in supporting Ukrainian agriculture and opportunities for joint investment projects.
