According to ХВИЛЯ: During 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine inspected and cleared 66,267 hectares of de-occupied territories, eliminating 63,535 explosive items. This is an important step towards restoring safety and life in regions affected by the conflict.
Of this area, 62,270 hectares are agricultural land, which reflects the state's efforts to restore the agricultural sector. In addition, the following have been cleared:
- 274 km of railway tracks;
- 204 km of highways;
- 86 km of power lines;
- 22 km of pipelines;
- 71 hectares of water areas.
This emphasizes a comprehensive approach to land demining.
Results of mine action activities
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 480,412 explosive items have been eliminated in Ukraine. In 2025, the number of certified mine action operators increased by 60, indicating intensified efforts in this field. As of December 31, 2025, there are 132 registered certified operators in Ukraine.
To improve work in this field, the park of mechanical demining vehicles was replenished by 26 units of Swiss-German GCS-200 complexes, raising the total number of such machines to over 80 units.
These results demonstrate Ukraine's efforts to combat the consequences of war and its commitment to restoring safety in liberated territories.
Data on the clearing of territories from explosives highlight significant progress in restoring infrastructure and security in Ukraine after the conflict. Returning to normal life in de-occupied regions is an important step for restoring the economy, especially the agricultural sector, which has been most affected. The activation of certified operators indicates the need for qualified personnel to ensure the safety of the population and the restoration of areas previously affected by war.
