Ukraine to Get New AI Scanners for Border: How This Will Change Customs Control

Ukraine and Poland will receive new scanners from the British company Varex Imaging, which will help enhance customs control at the joint border. This will aid in the fight against smuggling and expedite customs clearance processes.

“The unique feature of these mobile scanning systems is the ability to apply artificial intelligence for image analysis, which reduces the risk of human factor influence during control. The equipment can also scan various types of vehicles,” - explained Dmitry Kuzhevich from the Department for Technical Means of Customs Control.

The manufacturer of these scanners is Varex Imaging Corporation, which has extensive experience in producing X-ray detectors and other equipment for medicine, industry, and security. They are known for their quality and reliability, so these new scanners will be useful for enhancing the efficiency of customs procedures and ensuring safety at the border.
