UN Security Council Meeting
According to МЗС: Ukraine is initiating an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in response to Russia's use of the medium-range missile 'Oreshnik' against Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha emphasized that this strike, carried out near the borders of the EU and NATO, poses a serious threat to security on the European continent and is a test for the transatlantic community.
Ukraine's Action Plan
In addition to convening the UN Security Council, Ukraine also plans to initiate a meeting of the Ukraine–NATO Council, as well as actions within the EU, the Council of Europe, and the OSCE. Sybiha stressed the need for a decisive response to Russia's irresponsible actions and called on all responsible states and international organizations to immediately expose Russian lies and increase pressure on the aggressor.
This situation highlights the escalation of security challenges in Ukraine and Europe as a whole, as Russia's actions can have far-reaching consequences for the stability of the region. Ukraine's initiatives for international cooperation reflect a desire to engage the global community in actively responding to aggression and to support peace and security in Europe.
