Other details and developments
The Polish Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gawkowski expressed optimism that the situation regarding support for Ukrainian refugees will be resolved by establishing Starlink connectivity until 2025. It is also worth noting that USAID earlier identified issues related to the control of Starlink terminals in Ukraine after the Russian invasion.
In particular, the Ukrainian army used similar technology before the full-scale war, but now uses Elon Musk's Starlink. This was reported by the commander of one of the platoons. At the same time, the Polish investment fund Vinci is increasing its investments in the Finnish company Iceye, which may affect satellite technologies in the future.
Currently, the situation regarding support for Ukrainian refugees in Poland is uncertain due to the president's veto on the assistance law. However, the country's authorities are working on alternative ways to address this issue, including the development of Starlink connectivity until 2025. Additionally, the Ukrainian army is already using Starlink technology for its needs, which is an important resource in the context of modern conflicts.
