Ukraine and Italy Launch Joint Defense Projects: Details of the New Agreement

Meeting of the Ukrainian and Italian Defense Ministers

Defense Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with the Ambassador of Italy, Carlo Formosa. During this meeting, they discussed plans to enhance cooperation in the defense industry and launch significant industrial projects.

“We discussed plans to strengthen cooperation in the defense industry and launch major industrial projects. I invited Italian companies to joint initiatives with Ukrainian manufacturers,” said Denys Shmyhal.

The Minister of Defense thanked Italy for its ongoing support of Ukrainian defenders and highlighted the decision to transfer additional armored vehicles to the Ukrainian military. Ukraine and Italy are considering joint projects to enhance maritime security and protect Ukrainian ports.

During the meeting of the defense ministers of Ukraine and Italy, plans for cooperation in the defense industry and the launch of important industrial projects were discussed. Issues regarding support for the Ukrainian military and joint projects to enhance the security of Ukrainian ports were also addressed.
