Ukraine Strikes Russia Using Only Its Own Weapons, Says Foreign Minister
Statement from Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs
According to МЗС: Ukraine is conducting long-range strikes against Moscow and other regions of Russia exclusively with domestically produced weaponry, according to Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. He emphasized that 100% of these attacks rely on Ukrainian-made arms. Sybiha also described Russia's invasion as a historic miscalculation by President Vladimir Putin.
"Ukraine is not just striking Russia-it is doing so with Ukrainian weapons," the minister stated.
He pointed out that Kremlin propaganda seeks to convince Russians that their country is at war with the entire collective West rather than just Ukraine. "This is meant to conceal Putin's humiliation and explain why this war has lasted longer than World War I," Sybiha remarked.
Outlook and Frontline Situation
Commenting on the broader situation, the minister asserted that Putin's decision to attack Ukraine was not merely a misstep but a "historic mistake." He warned that as long as Putin refuses to acknowledge this error and end the war, conditions for him and his regime will only deteriorate further. Sybiha added:
"At any moment, Putin has a way out. He simply needs to order his occupation forces to cease fire and stop the war."
This statement underscores the growing importance of Ukraine's domestic arms industry for national defense. It also highlights Kyiv's efforts to assert its autonomy in military operations on the international stage-a key message for Western allies watching the ongoing conflict. As the war continues, such declarations may shape public perception both within Ukraine and abroad, reinforcing the narrative of Ukrainian resilience and independence.
