Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Addresses the Attacks

According to МЗС: In the early hours of June 18, strikes hit the Moscow Oil Refinery. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has now weighed in, addressing the questions raised by locals in the Russian capital. He underscored that Moscow started the war against Ukraine and continues to kill Ukrainian citizens.

'One of the most common questions Moscow residents are asking themselves this morning is: What is happening?' Sybiha stated.

He urged Russians to direct their concerns to President Vladimir Putin: 'Your country launched an aggressive war against ours. For years, it has been killing our people. Now that you know what is happening, ask Putin when he plans to stop it.'

Ukraine’s Active Engagement on the World Stage

This statement shows that Ukraine continues to assert its position internationally, highlighting Russian aggression. Sybiha’s reply to Moscow residents can also be seen as an effort to raise awareness among the Russian public about the consequences of the military actions their country is carrying out in Ukraine.

Such messaging could influence public opinion inside Russia and encourage more discussion about a war that has now been ongoing for several years.

As tensions escalate, the rhetoric from both sides intensifies. In a recent statement, Ukraine's Foreign Minister characterized threats made by Russia as a blatant provocation. This highlights the ongoing conflict and the differing narratives surrounding these military actions.
