Salaries of Officials in Ukraine: Overview by the Ministry of Finance
According to the Ministry of Finance, employees of central state institutions earned an average of 62.6 thousand hryvnias in July this year. This is 7.0% more than in July last year.
“Interestingly, the growth of salaries for civil servants was twice as low as the inflation rate, which reached 14.1% during the same period,” the source notes.
The average official income across the country in July was 20,456 hryvnias, which is 17.9% more than in the previous year, according to the Pension Fund.
The highest-paid state institutions include the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the Antimonopoly Committee, the Parliament apparatus, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and others.
Highest Salaries Among Leadership
Among 513 leaders, the highest salaries are received by the National Agency for Corruption Prevention, the Accounting Chamber, the Central Elections Commission, and other institutions.
The message from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine about the increase in salaries of officials of central state institutions by 7% in July this year compared to the previous year indicates a gradual improvement in the remuneration system in the public sector. The highest salaries among the leadership are received by employees of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention, the Accounting Chamber, the Central Elections Commission, and other institutions.
