Ukrainian labor migrants have become an important factor for Poland's economic stability. According to experts, the contribution of Ukrainian citizens to the Polish economy already constitutes at least 2.7% of the country's gross domestic product. This is reported by the Ukrainian Association of International Employment Companies.

Ukrainians form a significant part of Poland's economy

The president of the Ukrainian Association of International Employment Companies, Vasyl Voskoboinik, reported that Ukrainians are actively working and paying taxes in Poland.

According to him, around 850-870 thousand Ukrainians make contributions to the Polish social security system every month.

Ukrainian taxes support the Polish economy

According to specialists, the total amount of taxes paid by Ukrainians in Poland is approximately 97 billion zlotys.

This is more than the budgets of some state departments in the country, including:

  • The Ministry of Education of Poland;

  • The Ministry of Health.

The expert notes that the economic effect of Ukrainians' work significantly outweighs the costs of social support.

«In fact, it can be said that Ukrainians financed Poland's defense», - emphasized Vasyl Voskoboinik.

At the same time, studies show that about 650 thousand Ukrainians are considering moving to Germany or the Czech Republic. This could become a significant challenge for the Polish economy in the coming years.
