Nearly 10,000 Information Requests Filed with Ukraine's Pension Fund in Q1

Public Access to Information at the Pension Fund of Ukraine

According to Пенсії (RSS): During the Barrier-Free Week initiative, the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) is facilitating access to public information as mandated by the Law of Ukraine 'On Access to Public Information.' In the first quarter of 2026, PFU offices received 9,736 information requests, the vast majority of which came from individuals. Additional requests were submitted by executive authorities, legal entities, civic organizations, and media representatives.

Over 93% of all inquiries were related to social protection and pension provision. The PFU ensures public access to information through three primary channels:

• publication in media outlets and on web portals,
• display on information boards,
• provision of information in response to direct requests.

Information can be delivered orally or in documented form, including as an electronic document. The PFU also adheres to established deadlines for processing requests and provides information along with source references and regulatory justifications. These efforts help enhance transparency and make information more accessible to citizens, which is a vital component of social and civic barrier-free engagement.
