Ukrainians will feel the 'price shock': producers have massively raised prices on food products

According to information from the State Statistics Service, Ukrainian producers have raised prices on their products by 20%. This means that in June, prices for industrial goods increased by 13.1% compared to the previous year. Prices for products for the domestic market rose by 13.0%, while for export - by 14.3%.

The food industry, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco, increased prices by 21.0%. Goods for the domestic market became 18.6% more expensive, while for export - by 30.2%.

The largest price increase was in the meat industry - by 24.1%. Dairy products became more expensive by 18.3%, and bakery products - by 17.5%. Prices for non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages also increased by 9.8%.

The only product that saw a price decrease was sugar, the cost of which fell by 8.1%.

Changes in wholesale prices from producers lead to price increases in retail stores in the future. Therefore, consumers should be prepared for a possible increase in food prices in the near future.

Prices for products from Ukrainian producers have risen by 20%, indicating a general increase in food prices in Ukraine, particularly for meat, milk, bakery products, and beverages. The only exception was sugar, the price of which has decreased. This may affect the wallets of Ukrainian consumers, so it is advisable to carefully monitor prices in stores in the coming months.
