According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian duo Tatyana Lazarenko and Marina Gladun won the 2025 European Championship in beach volleyball. This news was reported by 'Glavkom'. In the final, the Ukrainian athletes achieved a tense victory over the French pair Clemens Viera/Alin Chamero - 21:23, 21:18, 16:14.
'Blue-yellow' won all six matches in the tournament, not losing a single one. Earlier, in the semifinals, the Ukrainian duo showcased a fighting spirit again, defeating the Spaniards Daniela Alvarez Mendez and Tanya Moreno with scores of 15:21, 21:16, 15:11.
This is historic 'gold' for Ukraine in European beach volleyball. Previously, the best result for Ukrainian athletes was the round of 16, which Gladun and Lazarenko reached in 2024. It is important to note that for the first time in history, Ukraine qualified for the Euro U22 in men's volleyball.
