According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian team 'Deruginykh School' won the Aeon Cup club world championship in rhythmic gymnastics held in Japan. The team consisted of Taisia Onofriichuk, Polina Karyka, and junior Liubov Gorashchenko.
Taisia Onofriichuk became the all-around champion, Polina Karyka took 5th place, and Liubov Gorashchenko secured fifth place among juniors. Russian freestyler Anastasia Tatalina also competed, expressing a desire to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games.
'I represent Russia, and I was proud when the President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin), sent me a telegram after winning the world championship.'
However, it is worth noting that Tatalina publicly supports Russia's military involvement in the conflict against Ukraine, which has caused outrage in the sports community.
