Ukrainian Forces Strike Multiple Russian Military Targets in Overnight Assault
Ukrainian Military Operations in Occupied Territories
According to ХВИЛЯ: In a series of overnight strikes on March 1, 2026, Ukrainian forces targeted Russian military installations in occupied Ukrainian territories and Russian border regions. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated these actions are part of a sustained campaign to degrade the combat capabilities of the invading forces. These operations highlight Ukraine's ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian supply lines and command structures deep behind the front lines.
Key Targets Struck
In Donetsk Oblast, several high-value targets were hit, including:
- An S-300 air defense radar system near Mangush;
- An S-300V4 radar unit close to Novokrasnivka;
- An ammunition depot in the Yalta district;
- A concentration of enemy personnel near Molodoy Shakhtar.
In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukrainian strikes successfully hit:
- A fuel storage facility near Pryshyb;
- A repair base in the vicinity of Bahativka;
- Areas where enemy troops were concentrated near Dunaevka and Poltavka.
These attacks followed earlier strikes on February 28, which destroyed drone control centers near Rodynske in Donetsk Oblast and in the Prylissya area of Russia's Belgorod Oblast. On the same day in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a UAV command post near Uspenivka and infantry positions in the Stepnohirsk district were also struck.

The intensification of these strikes signals a focus on crippling key Russian military assets. By targeting air defense, logistics, and command nodes, Ukraine aims to erode Russia's ability to sustain its offensive operations. This sustained pressure demonstrates a strategic commitment to weakening the invading force's overall combat effectiveness.
