France’s U-21 Basketball Championship Concludes

According to Главком: The French Espoirs Élite season has wrapped up, with Monaco’s U-21 squad-featuring Ukrainian center Maksym Klychko-falling to Dijon in the quarterfinals. Dijon ultimately claimed the championship title, cementing their dominance in the youth basketball scene. Despite the early exit, Klychko delivered standout performances, earning a spot in the season’s statistical top rankings and the symbolic All-Star Five for the 2025/26 campaign.

Klychko finished second in efficiency rating (19.5), trailing only Nanterre’s Maïda Douglas (22.4). He also ranked second in rebounds, averaging 7.5 per game, just behind Bourg’s Hadim Kane (7.6). In field goal percentage, he placed third with 66.9%, following Chalon/Saône’s Sokhann Mendy (74.7%) and Cholet’s Julien Wilamowski (69.7%). Over 25 regular-season games, Klychko averaged 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 26.5 minutes per contest.

Ukraine’s Road to the 2027 FIBA World Cup

In the fourth round, they lost to Spain 78–64, and in the third round, they fell again, 86–66. Against Georgia, Oleksandr Kovliar led all scorers with 31 points. Oleksandr Lypovyi added 13 points, while Viacheslav Bobrov recorded a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
