According to ХВИЛЯ: The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has announced a significant shift in weather patterns for January 23. Cold Arctic air will retreat, replaced by a warm, humid air mass moving in from the Black Sea and the Balkans. This transition will bring rising temperatures, snowfall, and icy conditions.

Atmospheric pressure will continue to drop, with cloudy skies and light snow expected across most regions. An easterly wind of 5-10 m/s is forecast. In Kyiv and the surrounding region, conditions will be overcast with light snow. Icy patches are possible on roads in some areas.

Expected Temperatures for January 23

The temperature ranges predicted for January 23 are as follows:

• Northeast: Night -10 to -15°C, Day -5 to -10°C;
• South, Zakarpattia, and Prykarpattia: Night -2 to -7°C, Day -3 to +2°C;
• Remaining territory: Night -6 to -11°C, Day -2 to -7°C.

In Kyiv, temperatures will range from -7 to -9°C at night and -5 to -7°C during the day. In the wider Kyiv region, nighttime lows could reach -11°C.

'The cold, dry Arctic air from the northeast will retreat, and we will see the spread of much warmer, humid air,' stated the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

This weather change marks a transition from a severe Arctic pattern to milder conditions, which can significantly impact road safety and daily life.
