Ukrposhta launches parcel machines: 100 units in Kyiv and Odesa
Ukrposhta has decided to go beyond the usual post offices and start installing its own parcel machines. The first 100 units are planned to be installed in Kyiv and Odesa by the end of the current year. This will mark the beginning of the creation of a network that the company plans to expand across Ukraine next year.
The innovation is being implemented in collaboration with the Ukrainian manufacturer Modern Expo, which won the tender for this task. The parcel machines meet high security standards and can operate autonomously without electricity and communication. For customer convenience, packages can be received using a PIN code or through a special mobile application 'Ukrposhta 2.0'.
At the same time, disputes and discussions continue around 'Ukrposhta'. Information about a possible default and recapitalization of the company, circulated by the media, was denied by the CEO. The National Bank also expressed its concern about the situation in 'Ukrposhta' and is considering various options for addressing this issue. Uncertainty regarding the company's future may impact the entire financial system of Ukraine.
