From December 14, Ukrzaliznytsia introduced a new schedule for passenger trains, significantly expanding travel opportunities to European Union countries. The number of international routes increased from 11 to 17, allowing travel to key EU cities with a single convenient transfer. Ukrzaliznytsia reports this writes.

New connections open up direct travel options for residents of Kharkiv, Poltava, Kyiv, and Lviv to Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, and Munich. At the same time, additional routes to Western European countries have become available for passengers from Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro.

Ukrzaliznytsia expands connections from Slobozhanshchyna

The key route is train No. 63/64 «Oberih» Kharkiv — Kyiv — Przemyśl. In Przemyśl, passengers can transfer to European trains to Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. In particular, connections are available for flights to Munich, Berlin, Vienna, Prague, and Salzburg. Sleeping cars are provided throughout the route to and from Przemyśl.

The train No. 93/94 Kharkiv — Kyiv — Holms continues to operate, which is a convenient option for further travel through Poland and other EU countries.

Ukrzaliznytsia has opened new routes from Dnipro region

For residents of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro, Ukrzaliznytsia has expanded connections thanks to train No. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia — Dnipro — Przemyśl with further transfers to flights to Berlin. In addition, route No. 119 Dnipro — Kyiv — Holms has been launched, providing convenient transfers to Warsaw and Berlin.

Flights between Polish cities and Germany are carried out in cooperation with the carrier PKP InterCity, which allows the integration of Ukrainian routes into the European railway network.

Earlier, we reported that Ukrzaliznytsia signed an agreement with Alstom for the supply of 55 modern freight locomotives.
