Ukrzaliznytsia launches direct trains from Uzhhorod to Vienna and Budapest: route details
According to hvylya.net: 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has opened ticket sales for new international routes from Uzhhorod to the capitals of neighboring EU countries. Passengers will be able to travel directly to Bratislava, Vienna, and Budapest. Tickets are already available for purchase.
One of the new routes is train No. 961/618 Uzhhorod - Bratislava. It will depart from Uzhhorod at 8:09 and arrive in Bratislava at 18:33. In the opposite direction, it will depart at 11:27 and arrive in Uzhhorod at 22:35. Another connection is train No. 146 Uzhhorod - Budapest - Vienna. The departure schedule is at 8:09, arriving in Budapest at 14:20 and in Vienna at 17:20.
The return trip from Vienna will depart at 10:42, stop in Budapest at 13:19, and arrive in Uzhhorod at 22:35.
Tickets can be purchased on the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' website and app, as well as on the platforms of Hungarian and Slovak railways. Passengers will have convenient transfers with domestic routes, including overnight trains. This will allow travelers, for example, to leave Kyiv in the evening, arrive in Uzhhorod in the morning, and immediately transfer to a train to Europe without transfers. Earlier, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' introduced five additional trains for the fall.
Ukrzaliznytsia continues to expand its network of international routes from Uzhhorod, making it more comfortable and faster to travel to the capitals of neighboring European countries.
